We just purchased our first home with the help of Chris Butaud with Cleveland Street Mortgage. My wife and I were very clearly clueless on the process in its entirety when we got in touch with Chris. There were sooo many documents and forms to sift through and sign, written in what seemed to be a foreign language to us.
Meanwhile, we were out of state and on a time crunch to find a home near our new duty station. Chris was somehow able to make himself available 24/7 to quickly answer any questions we had and also put together videos of himself thoroughly explaining the more lengthy documents throughout the process.
Now that the dust has settled and the process is complete, my wife and I feel truly blessed to have had the pleasure to work with him and Cleveland Street.

If you are looking for someone experienced, kind, patient, and knowledgeable, Chris at CSM is the best of the best. My husband and I are first time home buyers with complicated income circumstances and totally inexperienced in real estate and Chris made us comfortable every step of the way.
Chris took the time to check in with us weekly even if we had no updates to share, he made videos explaining everything to us so that we would understand the process and the documents, and he made himself available at all times to answer our questions and guide us through the process.
I cannot express our gratitude enough, we are so thankful we were referred to Chris by a friend for our mortgage needs. I would highly recommend him to anyone in the market for real estate.

In 2002 we were newly married and took the scary step of purchasing our first home. Chris made the process so easy and always took the time to explain how the process worked and answer our hundreds of questions with patience and knowledge.
Fast forward to 2024, several home purchases later and once again Chris and his team came through in amazing fashion.
We are out of state buyers who were visiting Washington this summer on vacation with no plans to purchase real estate. We came across an investment property July 18th that drew out interest but we were quite sure we wouldn’t be able to qualify for the loan.
Driving home from celebrating our anniversary at Salish Lodge we gave Chris a call letting him know we had just got a lead on a property that hadn’t hit the market yet, we hadn’t even seen yet, didn’t think financing would work out but could he look into it for us? We told him time was of the essence and even though he was at family camp he got to work right away.
Chris had us ready to close by August 10th! Truly unbelievable considering my husband’s erratic work history and just starting our own business with no proven income.
Chris is very detail oriented, he is truly an expert in his field and can make a way when it doesn’t seem possible. More importantly he is just an all around great guy who always does the right thing even when it may not be profitable for business.
Chris makes purchasing a home a breeze and we look forward to working with him on the next one!
